Independent testing has shown that determination of a thermal runaway event requires an array of sensor elements to effectively measure the leading indicators associated with thermal runaway event. These leading indicators can be determined by measuring a combination CO2, CO, VOC, temperature and absolute pressure within the EV battery pack. These measurements have been proven to be the fastest and clearest signal that a thermal runaway event is in progress.
